Chinatown and Brewerkz

So we decided to explore the streets and the alleys in Chinatown since Jasminedolphin just got her new camera.

Despite being filled with people in almost the whole of Chinatown, the alleys are usually quiet and surprisingly they are perfect for taking tumblr-like photos or OOTDs without having human beings in your photos.

As usual, Mr Gu has to be my model, and I made him climb/stand/walk at all sorts of places.

Forced to pose like a model. #step

Silly girl who accidentally took this photo while trying to set the timer on her Canon Powershot N2.

Patriotic building. #SG50

Left or right?

Was getting dark so we walked all the way to Clark Quay for dinner.
My limbs really ached from all the walking...

Was hungry and...

(The photo above is taken from www.pbase.com)

Wanted to return to Santouka Ramen for dinner but it happened to be closed on that day so we headed to Brewerkz instead.
Located along Singapore River, Brewerkz is the perfect restaurant for delicious American cuisine, beer and soccer!
If you sit on the outside, you can even get to enjoy the night view of Clarke Quay and some occasional gentle breeze to go with your drinks!
However, being a pro-aircon person since 1996, we decided to settle down indoors instead.

The sauce that comes with the Fish & Chips is amazing and the fish itself is even better. As you can see, the fish is huge, making your money worth.

We forgot the exact name of the Burger... probably it's Brewerkz Big Pig (Pulled pork glazed in chipotle honey BBQ sauce, served with shredded slaw and IPA-battered onion rings)

The meal is very filling and of course, it goes well with their house beer but we did not order any that night.

Almost died trying to finish all these...Zhikai said I had a major improvement in terms of appetite HAHAHAH but despite that he still had to help me clear my portion as usual.
Will definitely come back and try another time!

Cheers.

Illumi Run Singapore

Illumi Run is a party run over a stretch of 5km with 5 different coloured glow zones, where you'll get splashed with the respective colour of neon paints. DJs are situated near the zones so it gets the atmosphere up when you're approaching the glow zones. This means that after you passed one zone, the atmosphere will die down and you'll be strolling to the next zones.

All participants received a bling bling bag with LED glasses, LED wristband, LED foamstick and the event tee.

So I managed to drag Mr Gu to participate in this run with me (he was rather afraid of getting dirty after the run), okay we walked most of it because I was too lazy to run.

Since Old Airport Road is near our destination, we decided to have dinner there!

Albert Street Prawn Noodle at Old Airport Road Food Centre with sugar cane to complete the meal. The soup is exceptionally good as it's flavourful and sweet.

Colourful shoes of the day

They've lowered the minimum age to 13 years old so expect to bump into young students since this is the closest they can get to clubbing.

Be prepared to be soaked if you stand near the stage during the party!

But not to worry, the paint can be washed off from your skin easily. It is advisable to bring a towel to clean up after the event so that you'll be more comfortable on the ride home despite the stares from the public.

My father picked me up from the bus stop and he burst out laughing upon seeing me...
