I realised that we havent't had a proper "self-conducted photoshoot" for quite sometime, hence we decided to go back to Botanics where we had our very own one for the first time!
Asked Mr Gu to bring along his dad's tripod but apparently he didn't so we had to source for places to put my camera... and that explains why some of the photos are at a weird level.
We had lunch at Casa Verde and the menu was everything we wanted.
I chose my favourite brunch combination - anything that comes along with scrambled eggs and hash brown, while Zhikai chose salmon and scrambled eggs.
I was expecting the food to be relatively expensive as BG is considered a tourist attraction but the price is still pretty reasonable. The bread it's a bit hard but the rest of the food is suited to our likings. You can expect to bump into lots of foreigners like Koreans and Caucasians who will bring their children and dogs along.
The ambiance of the cafe wasn't really appealing as the doors were opened but luckily we managed to find a place inside with air conditioner as the weather was scorching hot.
I was surprised that the meal came with orange juice and a choice of coffee or tea; I thought orange juice and tea/coffee shouldn't be drunk within a meal... oops. But we only spent a total of $31 on our brunch YAY :)
After a filing meal, we moved out into the sun to source for nice places to take our photos. We started off with a huge grass patch which was actually a slope... so we tried our very best to place our camera on a horizontal level. The initial pictures turned out really dark because of the super bright sky but after some filtering we managed to tackle it.
Apparently there were many tourists walking along the pavement and I bet they think that we're mad to be standing on the grass under the hot sun HAHAHA.
Pardon us for the awkward poses because we ran out of inspiration all of a sudden (I actually had many ideas in my head the day before but I think the sun cooked my brain).
The misadventures of ZooKeeper (ZK) Gu.
I look like Sadako here.
Silly girl who keep asking me to pose then after that keep running back and forth to reset the timer. Normally she'll be too lazy to do this kind of things but for the sake of taking photos .. hahaha
Hey there.
Sorry for the mismatch in height.
A wild garden fairy appeared!
We were taking selfie on this swing when this group of Ajumma walked past us. Then one of them offered to help us take :D so nice of her haha I bet not many Singaporeans will take the initiative to offer their help.
Featuring my botak head zz so ugly. Special thanks to this girl for taking and editing all these nice photos! I think next time we can take our own wedding shoot already haha!
And finally, I get to have a taste of the legendary Orange Bowl noodle from St. Nicks. It's really nice especially the minced meat. The sweetness of the meat goes well with the sauce and the chewy fishball. But it was too spicy for us to tank ._. Shall order the not spicy one next time!
